Job summary

EY in Karachi seeks a Senior Associate in Tax - Accounting Compliance & Reporting to support year-end closings, tax compliance and financials. You will work on corporate tax and VAT returns, assist with statutory accounts and tax calculations, and collaborate across teams on process improvements.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a professional services environment, strong communication, and ability to manage multi-country data with SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, taxation or related field.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree and/or professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a large professional services setting.
• Extensive knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with financial digital processes, year-end closings, audits and financial statements.
• Handle corporate tax returns, VAT returns and general tax compliance.
• Manage accounting, credit control and internal optimization projects.
• Prepare management reports, budgeting, analytical bookkeeping and competitor analysis.
• Lead and coach junior team members and ensure adherence to Tax Quality guidelines.
