Job summary

METRO Pakistan is seeking a Delivery & Logistics Coordinator to manage customer deliveries, stock, route planning and related documentation. The role includes ensuring stock availability, coordinating with the Call Center, and maintaining service quality across deliveries.

The successful candidate will guide a team, train staff on processes, monitor performance, and uphold SOPs to meet distribution objectives within a wholesale operation. This is a full-time on-site position in Pakistan.

Qualifications

• Graduation or equivalent degree.
• Experience in delivery coordination and warehouse/stock management is advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to plan routes and manage transport costs and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize customer deliveries, ensuring correct quantity and specifications.
• Ensure stock availability for customers and offer substitutes via the Call Center with customer clarification.
• Maintain knowledge of orders and stock to lead timely, efficient deliveries and customer service.
• Prepare gate passes for transportation of goods.
• Plan routes effectively and hand over delivery documents to staff.
• Verify daily fuel costs and transactions with proper documentation.
• Maintain productivity levels of delivery vans.
• Handle and coordinate customer complaints related to delivery issues.
• Maintain warehouse stock levels and monitor discrepancies.
• Maintain warehouse quality standards per SOPs.
• Coach and train team members on concepts, technologies and processes.
• Monitor performance to identify gaps between expected and actual productivity.
• Review and approve operational activities of Pickers, Packers, QC, and Delivery Staff.

Job Description

• Manage and organize customer deliveries, ensuring the correct quantity and specifications are fulfilled.
• Ensure stock availability for customers and offer suitable substitutes, where required, through the Call Center, while clarifying the same with customers.
• Stay thoroughly informed about customer orders and stock availability, and lead hands-on, timely, and efficient deliveries while ensuring satisfactory customer service.
• Prepare gate passes for transportation of goods.
• Ensure effective route planning and hand over delivery documents to the delivery staff.
• Verify daily fuel costs and transactions and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Ensure the required productivity levels of delivery vans are achieved.
• Handle and coordinate customer complaints related to delivery issues.
• Maintain appropriate warehouse stock levels and monitor discrepancies.
• Maintain and monitor warehouse quality standards in accordance with established SOPs.
• Coach and train team members on existing and new concepts, technologies, and processes to support the successful achievement of functional objectives, enhance technical skills, and promote a positive attitude and professional growth.
• Monitor the performance of all team members to identify gaps between expected and actual productivity levels.
• Review and approve the operational activities of team members, including Pickers, Packers, QC, and Delivery Staff.
