Job summary

UNICEF is seeking a Social & Behavior Change Officer on a temporary appointment in Karachi, Pakistan. The role supports design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of SBC initiatives to promote demand generation and behavioral change for polio eradication and child rights at community and district levels.

Reporting to the SBC Specialist and Team Lead in Sindh, you will collaborate with government partners, communities, civil society and UNICEF colleagues to translate social and behavioral

Qualifications

• University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in social/behavioral science.
• Minimum of two years’ professional experience in social development, SBC or related areas.
• English and Urdu language proficiency required.
• Experience in international organizations is an asset.
• Knowledge of local languages and humanitarian contexts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implement and monitor SBC activities based on evidence.
• Coordinate with government partners and stakeholders at district and provincial levels.
• Build capacity through training and resource development.
• Ensure coordination and accountability at community level.
