Job summary

Tkxel, a leading software development company, is based in Reston, Virginia, and seeks a QA Engineer to design, implement, and execute tests. You will review requirements, build automated test frames, and contribute to CI/CD processes within an Agile SCRUM team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of QA testing experience, knowledge of Rest Assured, and strong communication. Bachelor's or higher in CS/IT is required, with a focus on quality across software lifecycles.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and specs during sprint planning to ensure test coverage.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases for manual and automated tests.
• Convert manual regression scenarios into automated test cases.
• Estimate and coordinate testing activities across SDLC.
• Ensure automated tests run reliably in CI/CD environments.
• Collaborate in an Agile SCRUM team delivering in two-week sprints.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document issues during bug tracking.
• Perform functional and non-functional testing to support development.

Job Description

QA engineer's responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. SQA will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.) Ultimately, SQA should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate and review requirements, specifications during sprint planning, and provide any extra information or details in which will ensure test coverage.
• Build, recommend, and maintain appropriate frameworks to automate test scenarios
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Convert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities during SDLC
• Ensure that automated tests are integrated and execute reliably in the CI/CD environments
• Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document issues thoroughly during bugs tracking
• Perform functional and non-functional testing to support the development team
• Ability to think outside-box for reproducing, re-creating issues
• Ability to act as stand-alone and define tasks to start QA efforts in an Agile team
• Document software issues and enhancement requests and assist development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of the defects found while performing manual functional, integration, and regression tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related subject
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in QA Manual Testing with basic knowledge of Automation.
