Job summary

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) seeks an experienced Software Quality Assurance Lead to ensure product quality against user requirements. The role involves testing REST and SOAP APIs, guiding the SQA team, and coordinating with developers to resolve defects.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years in QA, expertise in manual and automated testing, and familiarity with Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, and TestNG within an Agile environment. Karachi-based opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance including leadership of an SQA team.
• Hands-on testing experience for REST and SOAP APIs using Postman and SoapUI.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or Lean.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members and strong leadership skills.
• Experience with automation testing and frameworks like Selenium and TestNG is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure good quality standards for product delivery and their compliance with user requirements
• Evaluate and test software applications according to business and functional requirements
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality
• Work very closely with the development team to ensure all kinds of defects are taken care of
• Document test results, create/update requirements and test plan documentation as needed
• Ensure testing is on schedule and in-line with the processes
• Assist lead and development team during UAT in demos, non‑productive defects and release notes. Visit client's site for defects understanding and clarification
• Communicating with team members to streamline the execution of test cases, test plans and processes with them
• Good database testing concepts
• To design and develop test suites for software functional and performance testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• 3 to 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance including experience of leading a SQA team
• Experience and proficiency in manual/automated testing, approaches/techniques, and concepts
• Hands‑on testing experience of REST & SOAP APIs (POSTMAN, SOAPUI)
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their technical and professional skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
• Experience with automation testing, automation test scripts, framework design, and implementation (Selenium, TestNG) is a plus.
