Responsibilities

• Provide auditory verbal therapy to cochlear implant recipients.
• Assist in shortlisting patients for cochlear implant program.
• Communicate with patients and families to plan effective treatment.
• Educate patients and families on speech disorders and therapies.
• Maintain detailed notes on patient history and progress.
• Evaluate progress and adjust therapy programs accordingly.
• Participate in research and bring innovative ideas to the department.
• Work with the team to improve service delivery.
• Manage caseload with diverse disorders related to the field.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a qualified Speech Language Therapistto join our team at the Korangi Campus, Karachi A Speech & Language Therapist shall be responsible to assess, diagnose and provide therapies to individuals with communication and swallowing related concerns.

Task & Accountabilities :

• Assess, diagnose, screen, and prevent language, speech, and swallowing disorders on in & out patient basis (children & adults)
• Provide auditory verbal therapy to IHHN cochlear implant recipients
• To assist in shortlisting patients for cochlear implant program
• Communicate with the patient, and with their family members and physicians’ effective treatment plans
• Implement tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care
• Educate patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies
• Maintain detailed notes on patient history and progress
• Evaluate patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required
• Participate in conducting research and bring the department on the top level by innovative ideas
• Work within a team to improve the effectiveness of service delivery
• Manage caseload with variety of disorders relate to the field

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Language Therapy from a recognized institution.
