Job summary

Octopus Digital is seeking an enthusiastic Solution Engineering Intern to support presales, proposals, and customer coordination for IIoT and automation projects. You will work with cross‑functional teams, assist with site visits, and gain hands‑on experience delivering industrial technology solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Software Engineering with IoT exposure, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering with exposure to IoT/IIoT or Industrial Automation.
• Fresh graduates may be considered if Final Year Project relates to IIoT, Industrial Automation, or Smart Manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory for continuous interaction with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer meetings, site surveys, and technical evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining standard proposals based on approved templates and solution offerings.
• Assisting in managing client handovers, change requests and day‑to‑day customer communications.
• Coordinating with internal departments to gather technical documents, commercial information, compliance documents, and responses for proposals and presales activities.
• Supporting interdepartmental coordination with Finance, Projects, Procurement and other teams for invoices, documentation, and customer follow‑ups.
• Accompanying during technical evaluations, site surveys, machine connectivity assessments, and solution discussions with customers.
