Job summary

PakWheels.com is seeking a Software Test Engineer/QA Engineer to ensure quality of digital products across web and mobile platforms. You will translate requirements into test plans, develop automated suites, validate AI features, and support high-quality releases.

You will write automated scripts, perform functional and regression testing, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with Product and Development teams to resolve defects and improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience as a Software Test/QA Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, IT, CS or related field.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JS/TS).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and QA fundamentals.
• Experience with automation tools (Appium, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright).
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Write, update, and maintain automated test scripts for Web, Mobile, and APIs.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools to generate scenarios and improve coverage.

Job description

As a Software Test Engineer/Software Quality Assurance Engineer at PakWheels, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of digital products by collaborating with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders throughout the product life cycle. You will translate requirements into test plans, develop automated test suites, validate AI-developed features, and support smooth, high-quality releases.

Responsibilities

• Write, update, and maintain automated test scripts for Web, Mobile, and APIs.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, negative, and edge-case tests.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools for functional testing, generate test scenarios, improve coverage, and analyze failures.
• Define acceptance criteria and validate features against functional and non-functional requirements.
• Test AI-developed features for accuracy, relevance, consistency, hallucinations, bias, and fallback behaviour.
• Work with Product and Development teams to investigate, document, and resolve defects.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform cross-browser, cross-device, performance, and basic security testing.
• Monitor logs, analytics, crash reports, and test results to identify quality risks.
• Maintain test cases, test data, execution reports, and defect metrics.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuously improve QA processes.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or Automation Engineer.
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, Agile, and Scrum.
• A thorough understanding of oop, data structures, and programming fundamentals.
• Strong Knowledge of Black Box testing + Basic knowledge of white box testing.
• Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Experience in API testing using Postman and automation tools such as REST Assured, Newman, or Python Requests.
• Understanding of automation frameworks, Page Object Model, and reusable test design.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI will be a plus.
• Experience in Web and Mobile UI testing.
• Basic SQL and Git knowledge.
• Experience with JIRA and test management tools.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6 will be a plus.
• Experience with Firebase Crashlytics, Google Analytics, or similar monitoring tools.
• Understanding of generative AI, prompt testing, and AI response validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
