Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/SE/IT or equivalent.
• 1.5–3 years QA experience.
• SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum knowledge.
• Manual testing and test-case design.
• Automation framework experience (Playwright/Selenium/Cypress).
• JS/TS or Python scripting.
• API testing with Postman.
• Jira/Azure DevOps and SQL basics.
• REST, HTTP, browser dev tools, debugging.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and designs to identify gaps and risks.
• Design comprehensive test cases for positive, negative, boundary and edge cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Report and track bugs until resolution.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to improve product quality.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to QA process improvements.

We’re Hiring: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Wapda Town, Lahore

Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Experience: 1.5–3 Years

About the Role

Folium AI is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate should have strong manual testing skills, hands‑on automation experience, and the ability to identify potential issues beyond standard use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to identify gaps and potential risks.
• Design comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Report, track, and follow up on bugs until resolution.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to improve product quality.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to continuous QA process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1.5–3 years of professional software QA experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with manual testing and test case design techniques.
• Experience with at least one automation framework, such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Scripting knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps and basic SQL queries.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, browser developer tools, and debugging techniques.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Nice to Have

• ISTQB certification.
• Basic performance testing knowledge using JMeter or k6.
• Awareness of security testing and OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms.
