Job summary

Folium AI is seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Lahore to ensure software quality and reliability. You will apply strong manual testing skills, hands-on automation, and thoughtful risk assessment across diverse projects.

The role emphasizes test design, cross-browser validation, and collaboration with developers to deliver robust software. Familiarity with CI/CD and common QA tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng/IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 1.5–3 years of professional software QA experience.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum, and testing methodologies.
• Hands-on testing experience with manual testing and test design.
• Experience with at least one automation framework (Playwright/Selenium/Cypress).
• Scripting knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps and basic SQL queries.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and debugging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to identify gaps and risks.
• Design comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Report, track, and follow up on bugs until resolution.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to improve product quality.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to QA process improvements.
