Job summary

Folium AI is hiring a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Lahore to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will provide strong manual testing, hands-on automation, and contribute to preventing issues beyond typical use cases.

You will design test cases, execute functional and automated tests, and collaborate with developers and PMs to continuously improve QA processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1.5–3 years of professional software QA experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design techniques.
• Experience with at least one automation framework (Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress).
• Scripting knowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps and basic SQL queries.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, browser developer tools, and debugging techniques.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to identify gaps and potential risks.
• Design comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Report, track, and follow up on bugs until resolution.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, and QA documentation.
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to improve product quality.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and contribute to continuous QA process improvement.
