Job summary

Global Rescue is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer - Java Full Stack to build and scale enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and microservices. Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and Angular.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL query optimization.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, API Gateway, Web Sockets, and various messaging systems.

Role Overview

We are looking for an ambitious, mid-level Software Engineer - Java Full Stack Developer to join Global Rescue. You will build and scale enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices, JPA, and Hibernate, working alongside a team that supports members in crisis worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, MySQL and Angular, adhering to coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and business analysts to deliver scalable, high-performance, and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions to improve system quality and performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including sequence diagrams, class diagrams, state transition diagrams, flowcharts, ERDs, and design specifications.
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure application quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Provide Level III production support by troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions using application monitoring and observability tooling (logs, metrics, traces).
• Perform data analysis, identify data inconsistencies, and implement solutions to maintain data integrity.
• Utilize modern software engineering tools and practices, including Git/GitLab, Maven, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, documentation, and overall engineering productivity.
• Manage multiple assignments effectively while delivering high-quality work within established timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science from a reputable university or institution
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA, Hibernate, SQL, and Angular.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL/MS SQL Server, including SQL query optimization.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, API Gateway, Web Sockets, Message Queues (SQS/RabbitMQ/Kafka), caching (Redis), Iot using MQTT, IDP (Keycloak) and authentication protocols such as OIDC and SAML.
• Hands-on with JUnit, Git/GitLab, Maven, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment - Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOA principles.
• Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools for coding, testing, documentation, and productivity improvement.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
