Job summary

SmartPropFirm is seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our Product & Engineering team. You’ll build, maintain, and improve software products for the prop trading industry, including trading tools, customer dashboards, rewards systems, marketplaces, and other platform features.

You’ll work on full-stack development with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js, collaborate remotely, own features end-to-end, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Hands-on full-stack web development experience and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and collaborative workflows.

You’ll build, maintain, and improve software products for the prop trading industry, including trading tools, customer dashboards, rewards systems, marketplaces, and other platform features.

We’re looking for a skilled, proactive engineer with strong technical fundamentals, practical full-stack development experience, and the ability to independently solve problems, take ownership of features, and deliver reliable solutions using modern technologies and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across our web platform.
• Build scalable, maintainable, and production-ready frontend and backend solutions.
• Take ownership of features from development through testing and deployment.
• Integrate APIs, databases, authentication systems, and third-party services.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical issues.
• Write clean, well-structured, reusable, and thoroughly tested code.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices.
• Leverage AI development tools to accelerate development, debugging, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with full-stack web application development.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, databases, authentication, and application architecture.
• Experience working with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance.
• Experience using AI development tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
