Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development & Social Media Manager to join our Educational Consultancy.
Working hours: 6–7 hours a day (Monday–Friday); 3 hours on Saturday.
Mode: Remote (Pakistan preferred).
As a Business Development & Social Media Manager, your day-to-day activities will involve:
- LinkedIn and email outreach to prospects.
- Appointment setting.
- Attending meetings and pitching our referral programme.
- Partner onboarding and account management.
- Creating offers and incentives, promoting and driving maximized partner referrals.
You will also be responsible for managing the following social media activities:
- Regularly creating content in the form of reels, statics, and carousels for all our social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
- Improving our branding, page visibility, and monthly statistics, e.g. views, followers, interactions, and engagement.
- Keeping it light, humorous, and relevant to the Gen Z audience.
- Staying up to date with social media trends and taking inspiration. We are looking for someone who thinks out of the box and brings a unique perspective to the brand rather than copying and following.
- Creating interactive polls for better engagement and building a loyal and long-term community.
You will also be expected to partake in administrative duties regularly, e.g. filling university application forms for our clients; hence, previous experience or background in UK university admission is extremely advantageous for this role.
Job Specification
- Practical experience managing social media accounts and planning content calendars for an organisation or service.
- Strong written communication and content creation skills, with the ability to make education-related information clear and engaging.
- Understanding of social media campaign planning, audience engagement, lead generation, and performance metrics.
- Business development capability, including identifying opportunities, building professional relationships, and following up prospective leads.
- Confident, responsive communication with prospective students and other stakeholders across digital channels.
- Good organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple campaigns, enquiries, and deadlines.
- Comfort using social media management and analytics tools, spreadsheets, and customer or lead-tracking systems.
- Interest and experience in international education and the UK university admissions journey; sound judgement when communicating student-facing information.
