Job summary

Bestax Chartered Accountants is seeking an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to manage Canadian corporate and personal tax filings and basic tax planning. The role emphasizes reviewing records, keeping books, and preparing reports for international clients.

Applicants should have deep knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, and CaseWare. Strong English communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance.
• ACCA Affiliate/Part-Qualified status preferred.
• 4–5 years in Canadian taxation & accounting.
• Strong knowledge of CRA regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST filings, payroll taxes, and other routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to reduce tax liabilities.
• Stay updated with Canadian tax rules and regulations.
• Review financial data to ensure accurate tax calculations.
• Handle basic tax notices and communicate with authorities when needed.
• Use QuickBooks, Xero, and CaseWare.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate with the team to complete tasks on time.
