Job summary

Bestax seeks an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to manage Canadian corporate and personal tax filings (T2/T1), GST/HST, payroll taxes, and basic tax planning. You will review financial records, maintain bookkeeping, and prepare financial reports.

Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare is essential. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s in accounting, ACCA affiliate/part-qualified, with 4–5 years of Canadian taxation and accounting experience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• ACCA affiliate or part-qualified status.
• 4–5 years of Canadian taxation and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of CRA rules and Canadian tax compliance.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle or similar.
• Excellent English communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST filings and payroll taxes.
• Support basic tax planning to reduce liabilities.
• Stay updated with Canadian tax rules and CRA regulations.
• Review data for accurate tax calculations.
• Handle tax notices and communicate with authorities.
• Use QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare in daily work.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate with team to complete tasks on time.
