Role

Note: This role description focuses on the QA role within Motive ELD testing and related software features. It is a cross-functional role that partners with Product, Design, Customer Success, software engineering, and embedded systems teams.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, maintain documentation and perform testing on multiple devices, platforms, and browsers
• Plan and execute verification of features broken down into components for weekly releases
• Take full ownership of all QA artifacts
• Identify execution gaps and drive process improvements
• Monitor ES and customer-facing issues for the org and assist in retrospective discussions with leads
• Document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in web and mobile applications as well as ELD functions, outputs, online screens, and content
• Take ownership of end-to-end (E2E) testing

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in software testing with a solid grasp of< b> automation testing tools and frameworks
• Experience testing map-based real-time systems
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, SCRUM, and Agile Testing Life Cycles
• Ability to take ownership of all manual testing tasks
• Experience in both manual testing and automation (must)
• Ability to understand Software Design Specifications
• Ability to create boundary value, positive, and negative test cases
• Knowledge of REST APIs
• UI automation experience is a plus
• Knowledge of issue tracking tools (JIRA preferred)
• Knowledge of OOP, data structures, and algorithms
• Keen interest in programming languages and code reviews
