Job summary
Omni Academy is seeking an experienced SAN Storage & Backup Administrator to join our growing team in Karachi. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on SAN and backup experience across enterprise environments.
You will administer SAN storage, perform LUN provisioning, configure backups for VMware/Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server, and manage DR/replication. Bachelor’s or Master's in CS is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (mandatory).
- 3–5 years of hands-on SAN Storage & Backup experience.
- Experience with enterprise storage platforms (Dell EMC, IBM, Hitachi, HPE 3PAR, Huawei).
- Hands-on experience with backup tools: Veeam, Veritas, NetBackup, Networker.
- Linux administration experience (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu), VMware/Hyper-V environments.
- Strong SAN/NAS knowledge: NFS, CIFS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage enterprise SAN Storage & Backup environments.
- Perform LUN provisioning, storage allocation, and capacity management.
- Configure and manage storage snapshots, DR/replication, and data migration.
- Manage SAN fabrics, zoning, and firmware upgrades.
- Administer backup solutions and troubleshoot backup issues.
- Configure backups for VMware, Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server environments.
- Linux administration tasks: installation, configuration, patching, user management, file systems.
