Job summary

Paramount Associates in Lahore is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Chief Accountant to lead financial operations for its restaurant business. You will oversee accounting functions, month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and internal controls.

The role manages a team of 15 accounting and store management staff, ensures IFRS/GAAP adherence, supervises inventory and cost control, collaborates across departments, and drives process

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of accounting experience.
• Experience with IFRS and GAAP.
• Background in financial reporting, GL, budgeting, forecasting.
• Restaurant industry experience preferred.
• Articleship from a reputed CA firm is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting activities including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance reports.
• Lead and coordinate audit processes with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure IFRS and GAAP compliance in all accounting activities.
• Supervise store management, inventory control, stock reconciliation, and cost management.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and controls.
• Provide leadership to 15 accounting and store management personnel, including hiring and performance management.
• Collaborate with other departments to consolidate financial data and provide insights.
• Monitor cash flows and working capital.
• Conduct scenario planning and financial analysis for business decisions.
• Maintain relationships with banks and statutory bodies.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems.
• Stay informed on restaurant industry trends to apply best practices.
