Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment following procedures and training.
• Prepare clients for imaging and explain the process, maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Ensure correct patient positioning and image quality within training scope.
• Follow radiation protection and safety protocols for clients, staff, and the public.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of clients screened and imaging services provided.
• Coordinate with MTV team to support screening workflows and referrals.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to infection prevention controls.
• Monitor supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Support data entry and field activity reports.
• Execute other project-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

• operate assigned X-ray equipment in accordance with approved procedures and relevant training
• prepare clients for imaging and explain the screening process while maintaining privacy and dignity
• ensure appropriate positioning of clients and quality of images, within the scope of training and authorization
• follow radiation protection and safety procedures for clients, staff, and the public
• conduct routine equipment checks and report technical faults or maintenance requirements
• maintain accurate records of clients screened, imaging services provided, and equipment use
• coordinate with the MTV team to support screening workflows and appropriate referral of clients requiring further assessment
• maintain cleanliness and comply with infection prevention and control procedures
• monitor relevant supplies and report shortages to the designated supervisor
• support data entry and preparation of field activity reports
• perform other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• at least Intermediate qualification
• at least 1 year of relevant professional experience in diagnostic imaging, radiology support, or a related healthcare setting
• relevant training in X-ray technology and radiation safety will be preferred
• basic computer and record-keeping skills
• understanding of infection prevention and client confidentiality and safe imaging practices?
• ability to work in a mobile service delivery setting and travel to designated outreach locations.
