Job summary

Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking an Assistant – Mobile Data Assistant / Social Mobilizer to support TB screening activities across Sukkur, Shikarpur, Badin, Naushahro Feroze and Karachi Central. You will engage communities, register participants, and maintain data related to outreach activities.

The role requires 1+ year in public health or community mobilization, basic computer skills, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and respectful client interaction.

Qualifications

• Intermediate education required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in community mobilization, data collection or public health.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile apps or digital data collection tools.
• Good communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community mobilization and awareness activities to encourage participation in TB screening services.
• Engage community leaders and stakeholders to promote TB symptoms, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Mobilize eligible individuals to attend Mobile TB Van screening activities.
• Support client registration, patient flow, and collection of information at outreach sites.
• Enter and update client and service-delivery data in prescribed registers and mobile apps.
• Check records for completeness and report discrepancies for timely correction.
• Maintain daily records of clients screened, tests conducted, referrals, and other project activities.
• Support counseling of presumptive TB cases and facilitate referral to health facilities.

This is a grant funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

• conduct community mobilization and awareness activities to encourage participation in TB screening services
• engage community leaders, local stakeholders, and priority populations to promote awareness of TB symptoms, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment
• mobilize eligible individuals to attend Mobile TB Van screening activities
• support client registration, patient flow, and collection of required information at outreach sites
• enter and update client and service-delivery data in prescribed registers, mobile applications, and project reporting tools
• check records for completeness and accuracy and report discrepancies for timely correction
• assist the MTV team in maintaining daily records of clients screened, tests conducted, referrals, and other project activities
• support counseling of clients identified as presumptive TB cases and facilitate referral to designated health facilities or BMUs
• assist with follow-up and linkage of clients to appropriate diagnostic and treatment services
• maintain confidentiality and ensure respectful, non-stigmatizing communication with clients and their families
• prepare daily activity reports and support compilation of routine project data
• perform other project-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• at least Intermediate qualification
• at least 1 year of relevant professional experience in community mobilization, data collection, data entry, public health, or related activities
• basic computer skills and familiarity with mobile applications or digital data collection tools
• good communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills
• ability to engage with diverse communities and maintain confidentiality
• attention to detail and ability to follow approved data collection procedures
• willingness to travel and work in field/outreach settings, including adjacent districts when required.
