Job summary

PackageX, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own quality across mobile apps, web platform, SDKs, and Vision AI workflows. You’ll design and implement automation, integrate it into CI/CD, and perform hands-on validation on real devices to ensure robust releases.

You’ll help define testing direction, reduce flaky tests, and drive high coverage with end-to-end automation across Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and Vitest in a fast-moving logistics tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA engineering with automation as core responsibility.
• Ownership of an automation framework or significant framework extension.
• Deep knowledge of Playwright and its use with MCP servers.
• Mobile automation experience using WebdriverIO and Appium for React Native or native apps.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test code and tooling.
• Experience wiring test suites into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitrise).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for React Native app, web platform, APIs, and SDKs.
• Develop Playwright web automation driving through MCP servers with robust guardrails.
• Own failure triage, flaky-test detection, and coverage analysis.
• Create and maintain SDK test coverage including integration harnesses and contract tests.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD with clear reporting via Allure, JUnit, and Testmo.
• Perform hands-on validation on real devices and test Vision AI features under challenging conditions.
• Provide evidence-based go/no-go input on releases with metrics on coverage and leakage.
