Job summary

Brickstech in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer (Automation) to lead automated testing efforts using Playwright with JavaScript. The role encompasses manual and automation testing, building robust frameworks, and ensuring high-quality software releases in an on-site setting.

You will design tests, implement CI/CD integration, perform API and backend validation with SQL, and collaborate across teams to raise product quality while mentoring others and contributing to agile

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software QA, with strong automation
• Experience in both manual and automation testing using Playwright and JavaScript
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and JavaScript.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Conduct API testing and validation for RESTful services.
• Perform database testing, data validation, and backend verification using SQL.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Docker-based environments for test execution and validation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvements.
• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and release sign-off documentation.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
