Overview
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the project management office (PMO), driving excellence in project delivery, resource management, and operational efficiency. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, a strong ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the skills to align project outcomes with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy: Leads project operations team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
- Develop and implement project management strategies, align with company vision and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop project managers and coordinators, building a high-performing team.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Ensuring the selection of top talent with the help of HR and PMO.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and manage expectations across different project phases.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project goals and expectations.
- Lead capacity planning and workforce management initiatives.
- Operational Audits: Ensure quality standards are met in both Agile and Waterfall projects through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Analyze key project documents such as the project plan, quality management plan, risk management plan, and any relevant work products.
- Check for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, avoid or mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and reduced impact on project budget and quality.
- Resolve project-related issues, collaborate with relevant stakeholders to remove roadblocks.
- Implement robust risk management frameworks across the project portfolio.
- Visibility and Reporting: Foster effective communication across teams, promoting collaboration and transparency.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers and team leads to enhance their skills and align with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions to address challenges, provide constructive feedback, and set developmental goals.
- Organize and lead training sessions or workshops to share best practices and improve team competencies.
- Identify and nurture high-potential team members, preparing them for future leadership roles.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) in both Agile and Waterfall contexts.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software project management.
- Proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), Product Owner, or equivalent are preferred.
