Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Team Leader for the KWSSIP-2 Project in Karachi. You will oversee the Program Management Consultancy, coordinate with PIU and KW&SC, and ensure timely delivery of objectives, reports, and deliverables.

The role requires senior leadership in large-scale infrastructure programs, extensive stakeholder engagement, and strong risk and performance management capabilities. Local presence in Karachi is essential, with international collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of professional experience in large-scale water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years in senior PMC/Project Director advisory roles on major infrastructure programs.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience with donor-funded projects and international development environments.
• Membership in a recognized professional engineering body.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the PMC team and serve as the primary point of contact with the Project Director and PIU.
• Guide delivery of PMC services, ensuring alignment with objectives, schedules, budgets, and performance indicators.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on implementation challenges and risk mitigation.
• Oversee development and maintenance of the project master schedule across activities.
• Lead coordination among government agencies, financiers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain risk management processes and monitor implementation risks.
• Direct preparation of dashboards, progress reports, and mission materials.
• Support institutional development and knowledge transfer for PIU and KW&SC staff.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and environmental/social standards.
