Job summary

Systems Ltd is seeking a Senior Oracle Forms Developer to support migration of legacy applications from Oracle Forms 10g to 14c. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database, including migration, compatibility assessment, testing, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Oracle Forms development and maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Forms 10g and practical exposure to Oracle Forms 14c migration.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle Forms, Forms Builder, Forms Runtime, and Oracle Reports.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL (Procedures, Functions, Packages, Cursors, Triggers) and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Forms Libraries (PLL), Menus (MMX), and Object Libraries (OLB).
• Experience in debugging and resolving Forms compilation and runtime issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Oracle Forms 10g modules for migration to Oracle Forms 14c.
• Perform migration, conversion, and remediation of Forms to 14c.
• Identify and resolve compatibility issues and migration errors.
• Develop/modify Forms, Libraries, Menus, Triggers, Procedures, and Packages as needed.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues in migrated Forms apps.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure smooth migration.
• Conduct unit and integration testing and support UAT for migrated modules.
• Review PL/SQL code for compatibility with the target environment.
• Document migration activities, issues, resolutions, and technical changes.
• Support deployment and post-migration stabilization activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database, along with practical exposure to Forms migration, compatibility assessment, testing, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess existing Oracle Forms 10g modules for migration to Oracle Forms 14c.
• Perform migration, conversion, and remediation of Oracle Forms modules to the target 14c environment.
• Identify and resolve compatibility issues, deprecated features, and migration‑related errors.
• Develop and modify Forms, Libraries, Menus, Triggers, Procedures, and Packages as required.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues in migrated Forms applications.
• Work closely with technical and business teams to understand existing functionality and ensure successful migration.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT for migrated modules.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in Oracle Forms development and maintenance.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Forms 10g.
• Practical experience with Oracle Forms 14c and/or migration from legacy Forms versions to 14c.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Forms, Forms Builder, Forms Runtime, and Oracle Reports.
• Good hands‑on experience with PL/SQL, including Procedures, Functions, Packages, Cursors, and Triggers.
• Strong understanding of Oracle Database and SQL.
• Experience working with Forms Libraries (PLL), Menus (MMX), and Object Libraries (OLB).
• Experience in debugging and resolving Forms compilation and runtime issues.
• Good understanding of Forms architecture, navigation, validation, and event handling.
• Experience with application testing and defect resolution during migration projects.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Oracle Forms 10g to 14c migration projects.
• Knowledge of changes, deprecated features, and compatibility considerations between Oracle Forms versions.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server and Forms 14c deployment.
• Familiarity with Oracle Reports migration is a plus.
• Experience working with large‑scale legacy Oracle applications will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
