Job summary

Emumba Inc. in Islamabad, Pakistan is seeking a hands‑on Senior Software Engineer – Networking to design and implement high‑performance networking software across data path and control plane, with strong C/C++ skills and experience in DPDK/VPP.

You will build forwarding and protocol components, integrate hardware and software data paths, and work in cloud‑native environments using Kubernetes and Docker. Knowledge of security tech like IPsec and VPN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience building networking software, especially data‑path, forwarding, or packet processing.
• Strong knowledge of data centre networking and stack development.
• Proficient in C/C++ with performance‑sensitive code writing ability.
• Experience with DPDK, VPP or similar data‑path technologies.
• Experience with IPsec, VPN, DPI, QoS, firewalls, and SD‑WAN.
• Proficient with Linux/Unix system programming, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Understanding of distributed systems, message buses, and gRPC.
• Experience with CNF/VNF technologies and cloud‑native networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop networking software across data path, control plane, forwarding, and protocol layers.
• Build packet processing pipelines and integrate with hardware‑based and software‑based data paths (Network ASICs, DPDK, VPP).
• Develop and enhance SD‑WAN data‑path features including IPsec, firewall and QoS.
• Work on DPI, VPN, and other data‑path technologies with focus on performance.
• Develop and integrate networking components in cloud‑native environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and gRPC.
• Integrate open‑source networking components and troubleshoot production systems.
