Job Description
The Network Admin Engineer / NetworkOperations Center (NOC) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring thecontinuous and efficient operation of the company's global IT infrastructure, with aparticular focus on network systems. This position is responsible for proactivemonitoring, rapid incident response, and first-line troubleshooting of networkdevices, servers, applications, and security systems. The NOC Specialist willwork in a 24/7 environment, collaborating with various IT teams and businessunits to maintain high availability and performance of mission-critical systemsacross diverse geographical locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoringand Surveillance:
- Continuously monitor network performance, healthsystem, and security events using a variety of monitoring tools
- Proactively identify and alert potential issues,anomalies, and service degradations across WAN, LAN, WLAN, and locations‘connectivity.
- Monitor critical applications, communication links andinfrastructure
- Act as the first point of contact for all IT networksinfrastructure-related incidents reported by users or detected bymonitoring systems.
- Perform initial triage, diagnosis, andtroubleshooting of network, server, and application issues.
- Escalate incidents to appropriate Level 2/3 supportteams (e.g., infrastructure team, Application Support,Cybersecurity) following defined escalation procedures.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, andtroubleshooting steps accurately in the IT Service Management ticketingsystem.
- Participate in root cause analysis efforts forrecurring incidents.
- SystemAdministration & Maintenance (First-Line):
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgradecorporation’s networks
- Install and integrate new server hardware andapplications into network
- Keep an eye out for needed updates/upgrades
- Support and administer third-party applications
- Ensure network security and connectivity
- Monitor network performance (availability,utilization, throughput, good put, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Resolve problems reported by end user
- Define network policies and procedures
- Specify system requirements and design solutions
- Research and make recommendations on server systemadministration
- Perform routine system checks and healthassessments of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi accesspoints, communication links).
- Execute basic configuration changes and systemreboots as per documented procedures.
- Assist with patching and upgrading activities,monitoring their impact on services.
- SecurityOperations (First-Line):
- Monitor security alerts from SOC platform andother security tools.
- Perform initial investigation of suspiciousactivities and escalat...

- Communication & Reporting:
- Provide timely and clear communication tostakeholders regarding incident status, planned outages, and serviceimpacts.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports onnetwork performance, incident trends, and system availability.
- Maintainaccurate operational documentation, runbook, and knowledge basearticles.
- Workeffectively within a 24/7 shift rotation, ensuring seamless handover ofduties and information.
- Collaboratewith other IT teams (e.g., Infrastructure, Applications, Onsite IT) toresolve complex issues and implement solutions.
- Participatein training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, InformationTechnology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Relevantcertifications (e.g., Cisco,FortiGate , Azure etc ) are highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a NetworkOperations Center (NOC) or similar IT operations role, preferably withina large enterprise environment.
- Experience with network monitoring tools.
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of networking concepts ( TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols ).
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS, FortiGate and other networkoperating systems.
- Azure Landing zone hands on experience withMicrosoft Azure Certification(s)
- Exposure to virtualization technologies
- Experience in cloud migration
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools isbeneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
