Job summary

HR POD Careers in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate multivendor data center networks. You will own BGP/OSPF routing, VXLAN/EVPN switching, and secure VPN/ACL configurations.

Carry 5+ years in data center, enterprise, or SP environments, with hands-on Cisco/Arista/Juniper/NVIDIA gear, strong OSI-layer troubleshooting, and familiarity with SDN tools like Ansible or Python. CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE are highly preferred.

Qualifications

5+ years of network engineering experience in data center, enterprise, or service provider environments.
Strong hands-on expertise in network switching and routing.
Deep expertise in BGP, including peering, route policy, and complex troubleshooting.
Knowledge of OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN, and VRF.
Experience with multi-vendor platforms (Cisco/Arista/Juniper/NVIDIA).
Familiarity with SDN and network automation tools (Ansible/Python).

Responsibilities

Configure, operate, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls across multivendor environments.
Own dynamic routing using BGP and OSPF, including peering, route policy, and route redistribution.
Design and maintain switching architectures with VLANs, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.
Implement secure connectivity using VPNs, IPSec/GRE, ACLs, and QoS.
Manage IP address space, DNS, DHCP, and network source-of-truth tooling.
Automate configuration, provisioning, and compliance checks using Ansible and Python.
Monitor network performance and lead troubleshooting across OSI layers 1–7.
Collaborate with NOC on alerting, runbooks, and incident response 24/7.
