Job summary

HireOn is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in Lahore for a Backend Engineer (Java Spring Boot). The role focuses on building scalable backend services, designing RESTful APIs, and applying Clean Architecture in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will own features end-to-end, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to performance, security, and reliability of transaction-heavy systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Java & Spring Boot.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security.
• Advanced SQL skills with MySQL (optimization, indexing, tuning).
• Hands-on experience with Liquibase.
• Experience with Redis caching.
• Experience with RabbitMQ / event-driven architecture.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability, and system performance.
• Debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot.
• Build robust RESTful APIs with versioning, validation, and error handling.
• Implement Clean Architecture with strong domain separation.
• Follow modular and layered architectural patterns.
• Own features end-to-end from design to production support.
