Job summary

Creative Chaos in Karachi is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for JAVA to lead server-side development and ensure secure, high-performance RESTful APIs across multiple platforms. You will architect, implement, test, and maintain backend services while guiding a team of engineers.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in Java/Spring, experience with PostgreSQL on AWS, and familiarity with Terraform, Hibernate, and React JS. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years professional experience in Java/Spring development, specifically developing commercial Spring MVC/Hibernate and AJAX web applications.
• Experience in system integration, designing, building, and consuming REST services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL as DB Engine, deployed on AWS and relational DB skills for PostgreSQL & Terraform.
• React JS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain back-end services, models, processes, and databases that support the application.
• Participate in development team activities to ensure high quality and productivity.
• Lead and mentor engineers; provide technical guidance and design reviews.
• Deliver scalable cloud-based architectures with security and performance in mind.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and QA to ensure requirements are met.
