Job summary

IOM - UN Migration is seeking a Finance and IP (Implementing Partners) specialist for our Pakistan mission. You will review IP budgets and financial procedures, assess risk, and ensure compliance with IOM procurement rules and permanent instructions, while building staff capacity across the IP unit.

The role includes developing benchmark costs, mentoring partners on systems and processes, translating documents from Urdu to English when required, and contributing to accurate, timely financial

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting or related field with four years of relevant experience.
• Alternative: high school degree with six years of relevant experience; CA/CPA is advantageous.
• Experience in finance, accounting, project finance reporting, and audits.
• Knowledge of UN accounting systems and ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support IP systems and processes review, budget, financial review, risk mitigation.
• Evaluate IP SOPs, capacity assessment, and performance scorecards; propose improvements.
• Develop benchmark costs for IP staff and office costs for budget reviews.
• Strengthen IP unit capacity through training and guidance.
• Propose tools, analytics, and service levels for IP sub-units; enhance IOM Pakistan Portal modules.
• Mentor IPs and conduct IP Capacity Assessments; report IP risk levels and improvements.
• Ensure IP procurement transactions follow IOM rules; support tender procedures.
• Provide ad hoc translation of documents from Urdu to English.
