Job summary

Smart Working is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to maintain and enhance a live, production Studio product. The role is ~70% backend and 30% frontend, primarily using Node.js, NestJS, Angular, and Docker. All services are containerised and deployed on Google Cloud Run via Artifact Registry.

You will work in an existing team following established patterns and CI/CD processes. You will design scalable backend services, contribute to frontend work as needed, and document APIs with

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, backend focus
• Experience with Node.js/NestJS and Angular framework in production
• Experience building REST APIs and working with microservices
• Proficient with Docker-based deployments and cloud-native architectures
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance a live production platform
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with Node.js/NestJS
• Contribute to Angular frontend when needed
• Build and improve REST APIs and document with Swagger/OpenAPI
• Support deployments and monitoring on cloud platforms (GCP)
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and production deployments
• Troubleshoot incidents and implement robust resolutions
• Work with containerised apps and cloud-hosted services
• Follow established release processes and code reviews
• Independently design technical solutions and APIs
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools in workflow
