Job summary

Contour Software Pvt Ltd in Pakistan seeks a results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to drive monthly financial accounting, close processes and KPI-based performance analysis. You will prepare financial reports and forecasts, mentor staff, and support audits in a fast-paced global software environment.

Ideal candidates have a Business/Finance degree with professional designations, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong Excel skills. IFRS knowledge and Great Plains experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance with relevant designations preferred (MBA/BBA etc.).
• 3–5 years’ experience in a senior financial/analyst role or similar.
• Advanced skills in MS Office Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial accounting including journal entries, accruals, and analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and close processes (month/quarter/year).
• Lead quarterly forecast with unit leaders; compare actuals to forecast.
• Provide KPI-based analysis and ad hoc financial insights for management.
• Assist internal/external audits and improve reporting procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

As an important member of our Finance team you will:

• Responsible for monthly financial accounting, including journal entries, accruals and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results for Business Units
• Prepare monthly financial reports including Income Statement
• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Lead quarterly forecast process by partnering with Business Units leaders
• Compare actual results with forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weakness
• Develop and deliver a consistent and accurate analysis of business performance using KPI and non-financial data to highlight performance
• Liaise with the various Business Unit Managers to provide support as required
• Prepare account reconciliations including prepayment and accruals schedules on monthly basis.
• Review account reconciliations FA prepared
• Prepare monthly commissions schedule for payroll processing
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by Management
• Prepare note disclosures for quarter-end and year-end
• Train and mentor junior analyst and other staff on best financial practices
• Assist with internal and external audit requests as required
• Continuously improve procedures; develop reports to drive insight and accountability

Job Qualifications:

• Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. MBA, BBA. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (CGA/CMA/CA/ACCA)
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar position
• Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management. Possesses strong leadership/command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
• Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of IFRS is an asset
• Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
