Role Description This full-time, on-site role is based in Islamabad and focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing low voltage embedded hardware systems built on the STM32 architecture. The Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer will translate product requirements into detailed hardware specifications, create schematics and PCB layouts, and collaborate closely with embedded software engineers to ensure seamless integration and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include component selection, power management design, signal integrity analysis, and system-level debugging of prototypes and production units. The role involves conducting hardware validation and verification, performing root-cause analysis for field issues, and preparing clear documentation for designs, test procedures, and manufacturing handover. The engineer will also support continuous improvement of design standards, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded hardware design skills, including low voltage system design, STM32-based microcontroller integration, and schematic capture/PCB layout using modern EDA tools.
• Proficiency in power electronics and power management for embedded systems, including voltage regulators, battery-powered designs, and protection circuitry.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment, with a focus on signal integrity and reliability.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, digital and analog electronics, communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN), and sensor integration.
• Familiarity with embedded firmware development workflows and collaboration with software teams, including basic C/C++ understanding for hardware‑software co-design.
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety and EMC/EMI considerations, and relevant regulatory requirements for low voltage electronic products.
• Experience working through the full product lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, validation, production support, and iterative improvements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to diagnose complex hardware issues and implement effective design changes.
• Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional, on-site teams while mentoring less-experienced engineers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field, with several years of relevant embedded hardware experience.
