TekMinds International in Karachi is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as the Electrical Owner’s Engineer for PV and energy storage projects. You will review and engineer electrical designs from development through commissioning, ensuring compliance with code, utility, safety, and performance requirements.

This hybrid position is based out of our Karachi office and works exclusively with a US-based firm, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust electrical solutions

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 2+ years PV experience.
• AutoCAD proficiency; ETAP, SKM, or AmpCalc modeling experience; AcSELerator familiarity and RDB generation.
• Strong knowledge of PV plant electrical design, MV distribution, grounding, protection, relaying, and IEEE/NEC/NESC/OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical details for stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Electrical Owner’s Engineer on PV/ESS projects from development to commissioning and asset management.
• Review shop drawings, diagrams, site layouts, grounding studies, and related deliverables for compliance.
• Perform electrical studies (protection coordination, power flow, arc flash, grounding) with supervision where needed.
• Support utility coordination, RFI responses, equipment due diligence, and test reviews; propose mitigations.
• Manage third-party scopes and coordinate with stakeholders across disciplines.
• Assist Grid Integration with interconnection and utility coordination.
• Use engineering judgment to evaluate failures, deviations, and mitigations; escalate with context.
• Document assumptions, decisions, risks, and mitigations for cross-functional teams.
