World Business Lenders (WBL) is seeking a Senior Credit Underwriter to lead complex non-QM underwriting activities and mentor underwriting teams. You will evaluate intricate borrower scenarios, structure credit solutions, and support lending decisions for profitability and risk control.

The role is fully remote with standard hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST, Mon–Fri). Requires 10+ years in non-QM mortgage underwriting and strong expertise in DSCR, Bank Statement, Asset Depletion, Foreign National,

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive underwriting experience in non-QM mortgage lending.
• 10+ years of progressive underwriting experience in Non-QM residential mortgage lending.
• Proven expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring.

Responsabilidades

• Act as trusted advisor to Chief Lending Officer and lead complex credit underwriting.
• Oversee underwriting teams, mentor junior underwriters, and drive process improvements.
• Analyze trends in denials and adjust policies to improve credit quality.
• Support automation by documenting underwriting decision logic.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Processing, Valuation, Legal, and Closing.
• Participate in daily pipeline review meetings and develop underwriting guidelines.
