Job summary

Mashreq Bank PSC in Pakistan seeks a Compliance Checker to scrutinize payments alerts generated in Fircosoft and route transactions to the appropriate queue with accurate decision codes, ensuring adherence to global AML policies.

The role requires thorough knowledge of MT103/MT202 series messages, strong regulatory awareness across jurisdictions, and the ability to maintain high-quality processing with zero tolerance for errors.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in banking operations with hands on experience as a checker role requiring all round banking skills and technical expertise.
• Expertise in interpreting banking regulations, laws, anti-money laundering regulations, etc.
• Strong understanding of MT103, MT202, MT199, MT400 and MT700 series messages.

Responsibilities

• Scrutinize the payments alerts generated in Fircosoft and move payment transactions to checker/compliance queue with appropriate decision in screening systems for incoming/outgoing payment messages.
• Monitor & control of all control activities and fulfill regulatory requirements of the bank and regulatory authorities.
• Continuous monitoring Fircosoft System to clear transactions from Maker queue as per specified cutoffs.
• Ensure completion of daily control and functional checklist (DCFC) activity without fail.
