SMEC (an SJ Group company) is seeking a Coastal Resilience & Water Resources Specialist based in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The role requires a senior engineering professional to provide technical leadership in coastal resilience, water resources, flood risk reduction, climate adaptation, and infrastructure development.

Ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree and have extensive experience in coastal engineering, water resources, and related infrastructure, with strong leadership and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Coastal Engineering, Water Resources, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Coastal Zone Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 20 years of experience in coastal engineering, water resources, flood mitigation, climate resilience, or related infrastructure.
• Experience in coastal infrastructure, erosion control, shoreline stabilization, flood risk management, and climate adaptation.
• Ability to integrate engineering solutions with environmental sustainability and resilience planning.
• Experience on projects funded by international development agencies is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in coastal resilience, water resources, flood risk reduction, climate adaptation, and infrastructure development.
• Coordinate with clients, government entities, contractors, and stakeholders on multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead reviews, feasibility studies, design management, and implementation support.
