Job summary

Contour Software Pvt Ltd in Islamabad is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability for Jonas Club's hosted and SaaS environments, built on Microsoft Azure. You will define SLIs/SLOs, lead incident response, and drive observability, automation, and capacity planning across hybrid environments.

The role partners with CloudOps, DevOps, and customers to ensure high availability, scalable performance, and compliant security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Six or more years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering, including demonstrated ownership of production reliability for a SaaS or hosted platform.
• Experience leading or acting as a senior responder during high-severity production incidents.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and continuously refine SLIs and SLOs for hosted applications, and use error-budget burn to drive engineering and operational priorities.
• Own the reliability roadmap for assigned hosting workstreams, balancing new feature delivery against system stability.
• Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing to detect and resolve issues before they affect clients.
• Build dashboards and alerting that give the CloudOps team early signal on degrading reliability, not just outages.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point and incident commander for complex production incidents.
• Own post-incident reviews and root-cause analysis, and track remediation items through to closure.
