Job summary

Boston Health AI is seeking an Architect / Lead Developer to own the technical direction, system architecture, and delivery of major platform capabilities across patient-facing and provider workflows. You will provide hands-on leadership, design scalable systems, guide engineering teams, and ensure high performance, security, and reliability for ML/AI-enabled healthcare products at scale.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years in a technical leadership role (Lead Developer, Tech Lead, or Architect).
2+ years shipping ML/AI-enabled products.
Strong experience designing scalable web architectures, including REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
Experience with background jobs, queues, and caching strategies.
Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one backend stack (Node.js preferred).
Strong experience with relational databases.
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), IaC, and containerization.
Proven track record of improving engineering velocity and code quality.
