This senior role combines technical leadership with architecture design for Agentic AI systems. The successful candidate will design scalable AI platforms, lead prototypes, and mentor engineers. Strong AI and ML development experience, proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and expertise in open-source platforms are essential. The role is based in Lahore, Pakistan, within a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in software engineering or ML engineering.

Cinnova is seeking a Principal AI and ML Engineer with at least 7 years of overall engineering experience, including 4 or more years of hands‑on AI and ML development. This senior role combines advanced technical leadership with practical architecture design for Agentic AI systems. The candidate will guide the creation of robust, scalable, and secure AI platforms across cloud and on‑premises environments while driving prototypes and proof of concepts that mature into production‑grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AI and ML Architecture

• Design enterprise‑grade AI and ML architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Lead implementation of AI systems using open‑source and on‑prem solutions such as Kubeflow, MLflow, Ray, or local inference stacks.
• Select, fine‑tune, and evaluate foundation models for specific business use cases.
• Establish model lifecycle processes: experimentation, training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization.

Agentic AI Systems Design and Prototyping

• Architect Agentic AI solutions that use multi‑agent collaboration, tool calling, workflow orchestration, and autonomous task execution.
• Build rapid prototypes using LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or enterprise agent platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Studio Agentic features, AWS Bedrock Agents, or similar.
• Design reusable agent frameworks that integrate reasoning, planning, memory, retrieval, and goal‑based execution.
• Evaluate new technologies, libraries, and cloud‑native capabilities to advance the organization’s AI strategy.

Platform Engineering and Infrastructure

• Define scalable infrastructure for training, inference, vector storage, agent memory, and real‑time execution.
• Work closely with DevOps to operationalize CI/CD, model registries, distributed computing, GPU utilization, and cost‑efficient ML pipelines.
• Ensure compliance, security, observability, and governance of all AI workloads.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead engineering teams during AI prototype and production delivery.
• Provide mentorship to engineers and create best practices for Agentic AI and ML engineering.
• Work with product, data, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 7 or more years of experience in software engineering or ML engineering.
• 4 or more years of hands‑on AI and ML development.
• Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with open‑source AI and ML platforms including Kubeflow, MLflow, Ray, or similar.
• Strong experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise Agent platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Stack, Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock Agents, or n8n.
• Strong knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, retrieval augmentation, model fine‑tuning, and prompt engineering.
