Job summary

RLMC and AMTH in Lahore is seeking a Senior Medical Officer Anaesthesia (JP-458) for a permanent role. The incumbent will provide advanced anesthesia care, supervise junior medical officers, and collaborate with consultants to ensure safe perioperative management.

The position requires 2–3 years post-qualification experience, MBBS plus FCPS/MS/MD in anesthesia and PMDC registration. Responsibilities include critical care, ward rounds, documentation, and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized and registered.
• FCPS / MS / MD in Anesthesiology or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
• Valid PMDC registration/license with relevant endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex cases independently and supervise junior medical officers.
• Formulate and implement advanced treatment plans with consultants.
• Lead initial response and stabilisation of critically ill patients.
• Perform and supervise procedures and assist in major interventions.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and timely escalation to consultants.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to medico-legal standards.
• Lead ward rounds and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure SOPs and patient safety protocols are followed.
• Mentor house officers and junior doctors in clinical practice.
• Support departmental operations and resource management.
