HR POD Careers is seeking an experienced accountant to lead multiple assignments from start to finish in a fast-paced offshore environment. You will prepare and review accounts, VAT and tax returns, and payroll compliance with strict deadlines, maintaining accurate working papers and proactive communication with Practice Managers and Portfolio Managers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience with exposure to preparing and completing accounts.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing VAT and tax returns and related compliance.
• Strong payroll compliance and related accounting knowledge.
• Experience managing multiple accounting assignments within deadlines.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• High accuracy, strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Clear, accurate working papers and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal teams.
• Ability to work in an offshore technical environment.
• Understanding of WIP, billing, utilisation and cash-flow considerations.

Responsabilités

• Manage assigned jobs from commencement through to completion.
• Prepare, review and complete accounts, VAT returns, tax returns, payroll compliance, and related assignments on time.
• Monitor progress against deadlines and address potential delays.
• Liaise with Practice Manager on workload and delivery dates.
• Provide regular progress updates to Portfolio Managers.
• Escalate missing information or delays impacting delivery timelines.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently and within budget.
• Maintain clear and organised working papers and documentation.
• Ensure chargeable work is completed promptly for timely invoicing.
• Monitor and minimise aged WIP and contribute to profitability.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to understand requirements and delivery expectations.
• Provide technical information and status updates to support client communication.
• Respond promptly to technical queries and information requests.
• Support Junior Accountants and other team members to ensure efficient completion.
• Meet compliance, quality, productivity, utilisation, and delivery targets.
