Job summary

Nexus Analytica is an energy advisory and engineering firm operating across power systems, renewables, storage, and digitalization. We seek an experienced Accountant to own accounting and tax compliance for our operations based in Egypt.

This hands-on role covers invoicing, reconciliations, project cost allocations and monthly closings, with strict adherence to Egyptian tax rules and VAT requirements. The position is full-time and remote, collaborating with management and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Approximately 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting and taxation.
• Experience with VAT, withholding tax and tax documentation.
• Experience with Egyptian electronic invoicing requirements.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records in Odoo.
• Record and review all financial transactions and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and proper chart of accounts usage.
• Ensure proper allocation to projects/analytic accounts.
• Prepare customer invoices in accordance with contracts and schedules.
• Monitor outstanding balances and ageing reports.
