Qualifications

Job Description & Position Overview

The Senior Accountant reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include manufacturing cost accounting, variance analysis, raw material inventory valuation (IAS 2), IFRS financial statements, sales tax on goods (Sales Tax Act 1990), withholding taxes, and coordinating statutory audits.

• Lead manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and monthly variance analysis.
• Manage inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods under IAS 2.
• Finalize monthly and annual financial statements compliant with IFRS (IFRS 15, IFRS 16).
• File monthly sales tax returns on FBR IRIS portal under the Sales Tax Act 1990.
• Calculate and deduct withholding income tax under Section 153 and manage advance tax.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flows, and manage import letters of credit (LCs).
• Coordinate with external chartered accountancy firms for annual statutory audits.
