Job summary

GST International is seeking a security guard to ensure the safety of premises, staff and visitors. The role involves monitoring entry/exit, verifying IDs, CCTV monitoring and incident reporting.

Ideal candidates include retired army or those with military/security experience, who are physically fit, disciplined and capable of handling security situations calmly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Good communication and observation skills are required.
• Physically fit, disciplined, alert and responsible.
• Experience in security roles is preferred.
• Retired Army personnel are preferred.
• Relevant military/security experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security and safety of company premises, employees, visitors, and assets.
• Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, vehicles, and contractors.
• Verify visitor identification and maintain proper visitor/vehicle records.
• Conduct regular security rounds and monitor premises for suspicious activity.
• Control access to restricted areas and ensure compliance with company security procedures.
• Report any security incidents, suspicious activities, safety concerns, or unauthorized access immediately to management.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems where applicable.
• Maintain discipline and a professional security environment at the workplace.
• Assist during emergencies, evacuations, or other security-related situations.
• Maintain daily security logs and prepare incident reports when required.
• Perform other security-related duties assigned by management.
