Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Rawalpindi is seeking a Safety Engineer to develop and implement safety management systems at the plant. The role focuses on creating safety manuals, emergency response plans, spill prevention and fire fighting strategies, while ensuring compliance through on-site observation and risk assessments.

The job involves training employees on safe work practices, supervising fire drills, and performing monthly site inspections to prevent incidents and promote a safe working

Qualifications

• Prepare Safety manual, emergency response plan, spill prevention plan & fire fighting plan for Plant.
• Observe work in progress, ensure proper safety equipment is worn and procedures followed.
• Implementation of Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) at site.
• Review incidents/accidents and make recommendations for prevention of future occurrences.
• Train employees on safe work practices, fire fighting and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Safety manual, emergency response plan, spill prevention and fire fighting plans for Plant.
• Observe work in progress and ensure PPE and procedures are followed.
• Implement HIRA at site to identify hazards and assess risks.
• Recommend corrections and follow up to ensure violations are fixed.
• Review incidents/accidents and provide prevention recommendations.
• Report near-misses and train staff on safety practices and emergency response.
• Supervise fire drills at site and conduct monthly site inspections.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

• Prepare Safety manual, emergency response plan, spill prevention plan & fire fighting plan ofPlant.

• Supervise Fire Drill at site.
• Perform monthly inspection at site.
