Zindagi Trust seeks a Safe Schools Officer to help create a safe, supportive school environment at two government girls’ schools in Karachi. You will focus on safeguarding, early identification of concerns, and ongoing student wellbeing initiatives, working with counselors and staff across campuses.

The role emphasizes preventive, protocol-driven approaches, with responsibilities spanning documentation, reporting, and engaging parents where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Understanding of child safeguarding principles.
• Ability to communicate with children, families and adults.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professional integrity.

Responsabilités

• Safeguarding and Child Protection: Receive, document, and report all student wellbeing concerns.
• Initial safety assessments and escalation to Head of Safe Schools as needed.
• Maintain confidential case records and track trends.
• Monitor at‑risk students and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
• Implement and support the school's Child Protection Policy and reporting mechanisms.
• Identify early warning signs of emotional, behavioral, or safety concerns and conduct check-ins.
