Job summary

Steps Ahead (SAPL) invites applications for a road safety professional to conduct training at non-manufacturing sites, develop Safe Travel Plans, and oversee incident reporting. The role focuses on implementing safety standards and coordinating with partners to uphold high road safety performance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field and have 2–3 years of safety experience, preferably in FMCG.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in safety roles, preferably FMCG.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct road safety training and consultations at non-manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and ensure Safe Travel Plans with business partners and SPDs Trikes.
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigations for road-related incidents.
  • Hold monthly safety meetings to review road safety performance.
  • Implement road safety management systems according to ISO standards.
  • Monitor road safety matters, including audits and KPIs.
  • Develop and enforce road safety policies and standards for transportation.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and 3P transporters.
  • Execute Drivers Management Plan and Road Safety Strategy.
  • Build safety capability at non-manufacturing sites through training.
  • Ensure active incident reporting and investigation processes.
  • Facilitate monthly safety meetings with site leadership teams.
  • Implement and monitor the SHE Management System and ADMS compliance.
